Adventure tourism is a major revenue driver for Himachal packages. However, uncertified operators pose serious legal and safety hazards. Himachal DMC partners exclusively with operators licensed by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) and the Department of Tourism & Civil Aviation.
Verified Adventure Experiences
- Beas River Rafting (Kullu - Pirdi to Jhiri): 7 km to 14 km stretches of Grade II and III rapids. All guests are equipped with certified CE-approved life jackets, safety helmets, and accompanied by experienced river guides and rescue kayakers.
- Tandem Paragliding (Solang Valley & Dobhi): Flights with licensed master pilots equipped with reserve emergency parachutes and genuine altimeters. Weight limits (35 kg to 95 kg) are strictly enforced.
- Day Treks (Jogini Waterfall, Lama Dugh, Bijli Mahadev): Gentle acclimatization walks suitable for families and FITs, accompanied by local naturalist guides.
